Our Story
It began with a simple calling.
After attending the Cross Conference in Louisville, Kentucky, Joey Rumbos felt the Holy Spirit stirring in his heart to care for the homeless.
Back home in St. Catharines, Ontario, Joey and his dad began driving through the city, handing out coffee and listening to the stories of those on the street.
A few weeks later, the first Neighbors Table was born. With a thermos of hot chocolate, Costco cookies, and the Word of God, Joey set up every Thursday night at one of the busiest intersections—offering warmth, prayer, and the hope of the Gospel.
Currently it has evolved into a multi denominational ministry that is focused in activating our youth for service.

At Neighbors Table, we believe that sharing a cup of coffee and the Gospel is more than an act of kindness—it’s an act of obedience.
Jesus calls us to feed the hungry, welcome the stranger, and walk alongside the brokenhearted.
Each table is a chance to embody the Kingdom of God in the streets of our city.
We are a team of young volunteers focused on service. We are multi denominational, we serve the poor, the sick and the needy, and we strive to treat every person we encounter with dignity and respect.

Starting a Table isn’t something you do alone — it’s stepping into the larger Neighbors Table movement. - Structure & Logistics – Templates, schedules, and best practices that make running a Table simple and sustainable.
